XP & Leaderboard
How you earn XP, how levels and ranks work, the weekly and monthly boards, and why mainnet and testnet XP stay apart.

Earning XP
Do tasks, earn XP. Every paid zkCodex action on a mainnet (a GM, an increment, a contract deployment, a Memorial NFT mint, a badge claim and the other zkCodex contract actions) earns XP, and tasks add bonus XP on top. A token launched on BStocks Launchpad with the zkCodex B20 launcher earns a fixed 25 XP. A settled round in a BasePlay game earns a fixed 10 XP, for the first 10 rounds of a UTC day. A Multisender transaction earns a fixed 10 XP, whatever it sends. A bridge or swap on the Bridge page or with the Token Sweeper earns the zkCodex fee it paid x 100 as paid XP, a fraction of an XP for a small one. Every token approval you revoke on the Token Approvals page earns 1 bonus XP, up to 15 XP a UTC day.
- Paid XP comes from the protocol fee you pay for the action, not from gas. For a bridge or swap that is the 0.5% zkCodex fee in the route, counted when it is paid in the native coin or a USD stablecoin, once the transaction is a few blocks deep on its network and before the week or month it falls in becomes final.
- Bonus XP comes from tasks, referrals and revoked approvals.
- Apart from the game round and revoke limits above, there is no daily XP limit.
- XP from a transaction sent on zkCodex shows up within seconds of confirming. A transaction sent anywhere else, such as a block explorer or a script, counts when the indexer reads the network, usually within 10 minutes.
- Your earlier activity on the previous zkCodex contracts counts as XP too.
Testnet XP is separate
Testnet actions earn a fixed amount of testnet XP per action, with no daily limit; so does a badge claim on GIWA Sepolia. Revokes on a testnet earn testnet XP with their own 15 XP daily limit. Testnet XP never mixes with mainnet XP and never turns into it. A profile with testnet XP shows it on a line of its own under the mainnet numbers, with its testnet rank; the line opens the Testnet tab of the leaderboard.
Levels and ranks
- Your level and rank come from your mainnet XP: paid XP plus bonus XP.
- The main leaderboard ranks every wallet across all networks; the network boards show the same XP for one network.
- Leaderboards update about once an hour.
- The Onchain score tab of the leaderboard is a separate ranking: wallets ordered by their zkCodex onchain score on one network, not by XP. Scanning a wallet is enough to enter; see Score calculation.
- Your XP streak counts the UTC days in a row with at least one paid action on any mainnet. Bridges, swaps and testnet activity do not count.
Weekly and monthly boards
Next to the all-time ranking, the leaderboard has a weekly and a monthly board for mainnet XP. Everyone starts each period at zero, so a new wallet can top a week.
- A week runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59 UTC; a month is a calendar month in UTC. The first week began on 28 September 2026 and the first month is October 2026.
- A period counts the XP of your paid actions and your task and revoke bonuses earned inside it.
- Referral bonuses, XP from your activity on the previous zkCodex contracts and admin corrections count on the all-time board only.
- Each board also has a view per network; there, only that network's actions count.
- Every action is dated, so an ended week or month is counted from the actions inside its dates. An action that was read or priced late still lands in its own period.
- Once every network has been read past the end and every action in it is priced, the period shows its final standings, which no longer change. That happens at least 8 and at most 48 hours after the end.
- The leaderboard keeps the last eight weeks and months to look back at.
- Your XP card and your profile show your XP and rank this week and this month.
- Each closed month also gets a Wrapped page per wallet with that month's XP, rank, networks, actions and firsts; see Monthly Wrapped.
Testnet
Weekly and monthly boards are for mainnet XP. The testnet leaderboard stays all-time.
Tool boards
GM Streak, Counter, Contract Deployer and Memorial NFT each have their own board per network. It shows the top 20 wallets of that network by how many times they used the tool.
