How it works
Games
Play BasePlay's onchain games on Base inside zkCodex with the wallet you already connected, and earn XP for every settled round.

What the Game Center is
The games are BasePlay's, a team project that runs 16 house games and a PvP arena on Base Mainnet. zkCodex does not copy them: each game page on zkCodex shows BasePlay's own page in a frame and hands it your zkCodex wallet, so you play without connecting a second time.
Playing
- 01
Pick a game
Open Games and choose one. A Live badge means the game takes bets right now.
- 02
Connect on zkCodex
Use the wallet button in the zkCodex header, or press Connect wallet inside the game: both open the same zkCodex wallet dialog.
- 03
Switch to Base
If your wallet is on another network, the game's button asks you to switch to Base first.
- 04
Bet and confirm
Choose an amount and confirm the transaction in your wallet. The result appears once Chainlink VRF settles the round.
Only play with what you can afford to lose
Every game has a house edge. A round Chainlink does not settle within BasePlay's timeout can be refunded: the game page offers Claim refund, and BasePlay's own site lists your pending rounds.
XP
- Rounds count wherever you play them: inside zkCodex or on baseplay.games with the same wallet.
- The XP shows shortly after the round settles. The game page shows how many of today's 10 XP rounds you have used.
- Later rounds of the day still count for Play a Game on the wallet page's Today's actions and for your stats; they just earn 0 XP.
- Rounds played before games earned XP are not counted.
What the game page can do with your wallet
- It can see your address and ask for a switch to Base.
- It can ask for transactions to BasePlay's own contracts only, up to BasePlay's largest bet (0.05 ETH). Anything else is refused by zkCodex before it reaches your wallet.
- It cannot ask you to sign messages or typed data.
- Every transaction still needs your confirmation in the wallet.
The Chainlink VRF badge on the Games page is shown only when zkCodex has read, from Base itself, that every live game uses Chainlink's coordinator and is a consumer of a funded VRF subscription.
